Hello all, I thought I’d take some time to fill you in on the progress of ‘The Appetite’. As you probably know from previous posts of mine, ‘The Appetite’ is a short fantasy/horror set in some of Scotland’s most gorgeous locations. Such locations include St. Conan’s Kirk, Beecraigs Country Park and Blairgowrie to name a few.

The goal of the project was to bring a collective of creative people together to work on a project we were passionate about. I’m very excited to say the project has come a long way since we started a few years ago. Naturally the project took us to many fabulous and gorgeous places to film in. I initially worked as a 1st AD but took on a Producer role sometime later in the production. It was a huge undertaking, I went from scheduling and preparing things to negotiating locations, crew and equipment.

I’ve enjoyed my time thus far on the project. I’ve been told a new trailer is in the works from the projects director/producer and I’ll be sure to post that as soon as it’s available. As well as this we are currently arranging one final block of shooting for the coming months to finish the little parts of the project that are left, which will take us back to a few places we’ve already visited, but I’m not complaining.

Apart from the final block of re-shoots, the project is almost finished, we’re on the final push now and I’m excited to showcase something of such visual quality to my portfolio, I’ve worked with many fantastic people on this project and made life long friends, so as soon as this is done, it’ll be on to the next project.

Until next time,

Thanks for reading,

James!
